Inclusive

Park Flyers is proud to offer its newest program Park Flyers Inclusive!  The Inclusive division is a year-round program dedicated to providing athletic training and social engagement for individuals with special needs.

We welcome athletes of all backgrounds, abilities, and ages.  Our goal is to provide a platform where children and adults with physical or intellectual disabilities can be free to experience health and fitness along with other athletes in an integrative, comfortable, and safe environment.

In the spirit of Park Flyers mission, as well as the international mission of the Special Olympics, our Inclusive program is designed to offer specialized training adapting to the needs of each athlete while embodying our Team philosophy.  Our specially trained coaches work one-on-one with each athlete so everyone receives quality instruction based around individual abilities while also engaging together as one.  We are one team - we are the FLYERS!

Training formats are structured on a seasonal basis.  Competitions are available throughout the year through USATF and many other athletic leagues and organizations.  Practice begins at 6 pm on Thursday evenings but is subject change (any changes are posted in advance).  Details are as follows:

Indoor Season Duration:  Early January through mid-March

Location: Lindbergh Center, Minnetonka, MN

Outdoor Season Duration:  April to early August

Location: St. Louis Park High School, St Louis Park, MN

Cross Country Season Duration:  Late August to early November

Annual membership is $60 which provides each athlete a USATF membership and all indoor and outdoor facility access for one full year.  Membership is renewed annually.
