College Resources

The Flyers strive to provide our athletes every opportunity possible to continue track and field in college.  To help make this possible for you, there are 5 key facts all potential collegiate student-athletes must be aware:

The main track and field recruiting season is SPRING of your JUNIOR YEAR!  Do not wait until your senior year to begin the process.  Register with the appropriate organizations no later than your sophomore year so you can begin researching and communicating early enough to be on college coach radars.

You MUST be registered with the NCAA Eligibility Center and/or NAIA Eligibility Center if you wish to participate in NCAA Division I, II or NAIA sports(LINKS BELOW!)

STUDENT COMES FIRST in Student-Athlete!!  Getting into the athletic program of your dreams because you're talented enough is a MYTH.  You must meet the academic standards to be college-bound student-athlete eligible and no amount of talent can make up for a lack of education.  The better your grades and tests, the more options you have.  Take all four years of your high school coursework seriously and be a strong and diligent student.  Then when the time comes to enter your recruiting process you will not have to worry or stress about your academic eligibility and can focus on the academic and athletic programs.  The Flyers offer academic support services - if you are in need of tutoring or additional education support, please contact manager@parkflyerstrack.com.

YOUR RECRUITING PROCESS BEGINS WITH YOU!  Do not wait for coaches to reach out to you, YOU must initiate contact with coaches at colleges in which you're interested.  Coaches are bound by regulations that restrict how and when they can communicate - and the rules vary across the different divisions so it is up to you to make them aware of your interest.  Flyer coaches will help you as much as possible, but YOU MUST TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR OWN RECRUITING PROCESS.

You CAN go to a school you never thought possible!!  As alumni Flyers have shown, hard work and effort DO payoff which is why we've structured training programs that dramatically improve athletic performance for those wishing to go beyond high school in this sport.

Too often students wait too long to initiate their search and recruit process resulting in either a rushed and stressful recruiting process, losing out on scholarship opportunity and/or a roster spot, or settling for a school because it's the only one in which you could participate in track.  The sooner you are involved in your college search and recruiting process, the better chance you'll have of finding a compatible fit for your academic and athletic needs as well as the better your chances of receiving financial assistance (athletic and/or academic scholarship grants).

WE WANT TO HELP YOU SO CHOSE TO MAKE NCSA OUR COLLEGE SEARCH AND RECRUIT PARTNER TO PROVIDE YOU THE MOST INFORMED AND STRESS-FREE RECRUITING PROCESS POSSIBLE.

NCSA is by far the most comprehensive college search engine tool available to students and families.  It reduces a great deal of stress and time as all information is in one place.  You don't need to make spreadsheets, create notes, copy and paste email addresses, dig up programs and links, read up on how to communicate with colleges...this is all included.  NCSA has created videos and instructions and done all the research to provide you every school's academic, athletic, and entry standard, as well as the communication details needed to connect you with over 45,000 NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, etc colleges including an email account that links you directly to coaches.  They guide and assist you the entire way, and even provide suggested college matches for you based on your academic, athletic, and location preferences input.

Coaches now identify potential athletes using NCSA more than any other resource.  It has become an essential resource to college coaches, high school and club coaches, and college-bound student-athletes so having an account can be a critical piece of your college placement process.  That's why it has also become the recruiting partner for the NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, USATF, and most other governing bodies of a sport.

We're proud to offer you this service.  Athletes who have an NCSA account normally pay monthly for the service, but with our team account, we offer the CHAMPIONSHIP level of service for a very nominal annual fee.  Our goal is to provide you an NCSA account affordably* so you can have a worry-free and educated college search process.  We want you to have the best experience possible and stand behind the high-quality service NCSA provides.  They take the fear, worry, and feelings of being overwhelmed out of the process.  And Team Edition allows us, your high school and club coaches, the ability to better assist you along the way.  If you are interested in an NCSA account with us, please click our NCSA Team Edition logo below to sign up!  (Those with existing accounts will still complete the form then be automatically transferred to the team account.)
